At Crescent Law Chambers, we take pride in our commitment to justice, fairness, and the diligent defence of our clients. Recently, our lawyers, Mr Ahmad Nizam Abbas and Mr Amrun Hisyam, successfully represented Mr Mohamad Daud A Rahim, resulting in the complete withdrawal of all criminal charges against him by the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) on 30 September 2025.
Mr Daud had initially faced allegations relating to the submission of purportedly fictitious quotations for a mosque digitalisation project. The case drew public attention due to the nature of the allegations and the institutions involved.
Our lawyers prepared and submitted a comprehensive representation to the AGC, setting out Mr Daud’s version of events in detail and addressing each allegation meticulously.
The preparation of this representation required deep analysis, careful legal reasoning, and close collaboration with our client. Our lawyers examined every document and statement, ensuring that the AGC received a clear, accurate, and balanced account of what had transpired. We also presented mitigating factors, including our client’s cooperation, good standing, and clean record, to support the case for withdrawal.
Following a thorough review of our submissions, the Attorney-General’s Chambers exercised its prosecutorial discretion to withdraw all charges against Mr Daud.
Our Managing Director, Mr Ahmad Nizam Abbas, expressed gratitude that justice had been achieved, noting that the AGC had given due consideration to the facts and circumstances presented. Our client, Mr Daud, was understandably relieved and thankful to have his name cleared.
This outcome reflects the essence of our practice at Crescent Law Chambers: a commitment to representing our clients with integrity, empathy, and legal excellence. Every case we undertake is approached not merely as a legal challenge but as a matter of human dignity and fairness. Our lawyers’ dedication and professionalism ensured that the truth was brought to light and that our client received a just outcome.
The case of Mohamad Daud A Rahim stands as a reminder that effective legal advocacy can make a decisive difference. Through detailed preparation, principled representation, and respect for due process, our lawyers were able to achieve a resolution that upheld both justice and compassion.
