VNC v VND [2020] SGFC 98
This was a case where the mother claimed for maintenance at the Family Justice Court after the parties had been divorced at the Syariah Court. A preliminary issue was whether the affidavit at the Syariah Court by the father could be admitted by the mother’s counsel during the cross-examination of the father.
Sanjeev Sharma s/o Shri Sarjeet Sharma v Surbhi Ahuja d/o Sh Virendra Kumar [2015] 3 SLR 1056 – High Court appeal case. Conflict of laws involving a Singaporean and Indian national who married in India according to Hindu customs and rites. Mr Ahmad Nizam successfully obtained stay of proceedings.
HCF/DT5843/2014 (UNREPORTED) – Our Mr. Ahmad Nizam acted for the Wife in the division of matrimonial assets involving, among others, a bungalow worth over $40 million where she was awarded 83% share of the same.
